FINGERPRINTING

All child care staff (all ages) and household members (ages 18 and up) are required to complete a satisfactory FBI fingerprint background check for Child Care Licensing. These FBI checks need to be conducted pre-service and every 5 years after that.

*Due to the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act (CRRSA), fingerprint-based background checks for all child care staff will be free until further notice. Effective June 1st, 2021. 

HOW DO I GET FINGERPRINTED?

Child care providers can call to schedule an appointment to be fingerprinted at our office. Contact us at (406) 723-4019 to make an appointment. 

WHAT DO I NEED TO BE FINGERPRINTED?​

Please come prepared to your appointment with two forms of identification. One form of must be a government issued ID that displays a picture such as a drivers license or passport. ​Examples of other forms of identification are a vehicle registration​ form or social security card.
